Has it really been 9 years?!?

So my sunshine turned nine today and I can't believe it.
I can't believe that I am old enough to have a child
who is nine. I can't believe that I have been
a Mom for nine years. I can't believe that I still
wish that they came with a handbook. (Besides the Bible)
Today we had a party to celebrate this fabulous day and
the boy who graced our lives 9 years ago.

The kids played on this water slide thingy that we have. Then

we had Hot Dogs, Chili (with fixins), Salad, Fruit and Chips.

For dessert he wanted an Ice Cream Cake made with

Chocolate Cake and Cookie Dough Ice Cream.

All the kids at the party.

It was extra special because Grammie (R & E's Great Grandmother)

is visiting from So Cal and was able to join in the festivities.

(I couldn't get her to partake in the water slide though!)

AAARRRRGGGG Mate.

Happy 9th Birthday!!!!!

First Camping Trip of the summer

So we finally were able to load up our camper and head out for our first camping trip of '08. Normally we have a good two or three trips under our belts by now but this year it has just been kind of hectic. Even though the water was extremely low and turned while we were there and R got pink eye and the wind blew and kept us up when the men had to drive back into town to work the next day and we were camped next to lezfest '08...well we had a great time anyway. The worst part was after all that fun in the water and playing with her friend Curly our little Sally Mae had an appointment to get fixed on Monday. I have never seen a more pitiful puppy than she was when I brought her home. Today she is starting to become herself again and that makes keeping her calm so she doesn't rip open her stitches kind of hard.

Is this what July is gonna be like???

This weekend was a very busy one. We had a party on
Friday night. On Saturday my hubby and my dad
crawled under the house to hook up the light
for our flag pole. (It only took 6 years). Then they went over to
my parents house to put up a ramp for my Grandma who
is coming to visit from SoCal for a month. We were gonna stay home on
Sunday but we ended up going to Lake Tahoe with our friends.
After that we came back for a BBQ at my mom & dad's to celebrate my
Grandma and Aunt and Uncle's arrival. It was a nice visit
catching up with our family that we don't see that often.
Now it's Monday and I am back to my weekly routine...
Laundry, Laundry and more Laundry.

Happy 4th of July!!

Every July 4th my husband takes the day off. He

likes to say that it just isn't American to work on

America's Birthday. He makes me laugh. So

of course since he is not at work and he gets bored

just sitting around during the day I put him to work

here at home. Just don't tell him it's work.

Happy 4th of July!!!
